Visit to Aastha Cluster, Sahaspur

“My visit to the Aastha Cluster at Sahaspur Shankarpur and the Shakti Self Help Group, successfully run by Geeta Maurya, was a deeply motivating experience. The cluster primarily focuses on manufacturing eco-friendly jute and cotton bags while providing stitching training to women from the Selaqui and Sahaspur regions. I observed women skillfully working on sewing machines, cutting fabric, and finishing bags with great precision and teamwork. Beyond production, the training programs equip them with practical tailoring skills, enabling them to earn independently and support their families. Mrs. Maurya’s leadership has not only created livelihood opportunities but also instilled confidence and financial awareness among the members. The initiative stands as a strong example of grassroots empowerment, where skill development and collective effort are transforming the lives of women in the region.”
