Jute products are one of the best plastic alternatives. Derived from Jute plant fibers the raw material is available all year round thereby making it substitute for polythene.
JDEWS trained 50 people in Rudraprayag and Augustyamuni in creating various products made out of jute. National Jute Board was the sponsoring agency for this project.
